Sydney Martinez
Editor-in-Chief
Sydney is a junior honors Political Science and Communication double major. Sydney joined the Carrier her freshman year as the Opinions Editor. As a sophomore, she enjoyed her time with the Carrier as the News Editor. Her favorite part of being News Editor was running around campus to gather interviews for her articles. When the time came, she applied to become the Editor-in-Chief, where she now continues to share her passion for the First Amendment with staff. Outside of the Carrier, she is a co-president for Sigma Delta Pi and is a TRIO SSS member. After Berry, she plans to attend the University of Georgia for law school.
Ellie Bossier

Ellie Bossier is a sophomore Psychology major and Applied Behavior Analysis minor. They are from Ridgeland, Mississippi. They are currently working towards earning their registered behavioral technician certification, so they are excited to have a life outside their major and be a part of the Carrier! When they aren’t at the psych department in Cook, you can find Ellie at the park or making a zine (or both).
Faith Crockett

Faith is a Senior Communication major with a concentration in social and digital media. She is from Windham, Maine. Outside of the Carrier she leads as the Student Director and Social Media Manager of Common Worship, and Worship Coordinator of Delight Ministries. She loves music, plays guitar and favorite thing to do on the weekends is going to a concert.

Brian Jones
Features Editor
Brian Jones is a sophomore Communication and Media Studies major from Lilburn, GA. He also serves as the sophomore class secretary for SGA and is a snare drummer for the Viking Drumline. Brian chose the Carrier because he is always fascinated by the many things writing and journalism can accomplish. He enjoys spending time with family and friends (especially his dog Hank), watching HBO’s The Pitt and reading the New Yorker. Brian is so excited to be a new member of the Carrier!

Alicia Meehan
Opinions Editor
Alicia is a sophomore Biology major with a Cellular/Biomedical concentration, a Spanish minor and a OneHealth minor. She is from Lilburn, Georgia. Alicia enjoys drawing, playing Minecraft, watching shows/videos, listening to music and learning about new things. She worked as a reporter, then as the assistant news editor last year, and is now working as the opinions editor and as a biology associate in a research lab. Alicia is happy to be a part of the Campus Carrier family!

Gaby Harris

Gaby is a freshman Communications major from Calhoun, GA. She hopes to become a sports journalist and broadcaster after graduating from Berry. She enjoys playing Roblox, hanging out with friends, and watching her favorite sports teams, such as the Indiana Fever and Nebraska volleyball. She is excited to be involved in the Berry community and to work for the Campus Carrier.

Kara is a sophomore double major in Biochemistry and Communication. After college, she’s planning on pursuing health-related career fields. Something interesting that she loves to do is take care of her guinea pigs and her plants. She also enjoys juggling her other campus jobs: groundskeeping and nutritional coaching at The Cage. Her favorite color is purple, but she rarely wears it. She is excited for what this new semester has in store!

Oak Long is a freshman Business Management major with minors in Entrepreneurship and Communications from Carrollton, Georgia. She enjoys baking, reading, going to concerts, and relaxing in a hammock. She looks forward to being a part of the Campus Carrier!

Gabi is a Sophomore from Marietta, Georgia. She’s pursuing a major in accounting and a minor in art. When she’s not in class or creating graphics, you’d probably find her hiding away under her lofted bed to read, watch videos, or play Minecraft. She loves baking and will spend hours in the kitchen conducting culinary experiments (inexplicably, her experiments somehow always become pancakes in the end).

Kate (or Kat) Stephens is a freshman from Lookout Mountain GA. She plans to pursue a double major in Psychology and Studio Art with an end goal of becoming a licensed therapist or something along the lines of art therapy. Outside of classes and taking photos, she loves going on hikes, watching films, drawing at coffee shops, and hanging out with her dorm cat (muffin). She is thrilled to be a part of the carrier as her first student job!

Chloe is a Freshman from Birmingham, AL. She is currently pursuing a major in English with a double minor in Sociology and Creative Writing. After college, she hopes to get into the novel publishing world. Chloe is passionate about reading, writing, choir, fashion, and keeping an active calendar, even if she forgets to add things a lot of the time… If you need to reach her, she is probably outside ogling at one of the D-Hall cats.

Steven Hames
Advisor
Steven is a six-time Telly Award-winning producer, director, and editor, who spent 15 years at television stations in North Georgia. He is the 2016 recipient of the College Media Association’s Honor Roll Broadcast Advisor Award. Steven served six years as Secretary for the College Broadcasters, Inc. (CBI) Board of Directors and is currently in his 11th year as Awards Coordinator for the organization. He is married and has two kids.
